FACTORY DROP wins festival awards
Factory Drop, written and directed by Petja Pulkrabek, won sixteen international film awards in 2024. The short film, produced by Jana Pulkrabek, combines science fiction with dance elements.
We are delighted to have received more than 26 festival invitations for Factory Drop screenings in 2024. After the official world premiere at the renowned Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal/ Canada in summer 2024, further screenings followed in Germany, France, Spain, Norway, Austria, Brazil, Mexico, Uruguay, the USA and more. A list of all festivals and film awards is listed on the film page here .
After Nachtrausch and Occasus, Factory Drop is our third short film funded with public funds. In the fifteen-minute sci-fi dystopia , two workers have to escape from a mysterious factory after an unauthorized dance. Anne-Marie Warburton and Preslav Mantchev from the Freie Tanzkompagnie Kiel choreographed the dance numbers and embody the main characters Mia and Juri. The Hamburg film project with producer Jana Pulkrabek was shot in Kiel and Schwerin in autumn 2022. Camerawoman Monika Plura was responsible for the image design together with Tobias Meik. The creative working duo Dennis Stöcker and Lena Schønemann form another power team for the set design. We would like to thank our fantastic film team and all supporters and look forward to the upcoming festival evaluation.
